Michelle in Gothenburg

Here is Michelle by a little door of one of the buildings in Gothenburg. Most of the Swedes were tall so we couldn't imagine who used this door. By the way, this was taken on one of the few sunny days that we had. It rained for six weeks straight and was raining on the day we left!! We were looking forward to coming home to heat, humidity and sunshine!

Michelle took this at the Southern Archipelago Islands. I did not realize she took it, as you can see it was very rock there but the water was nice and warm!

Southern Archipelago Islands

This is me, Patricia (our mentor) and Michelle at the Southern Archipelago Islands. The islands were nothing but rocks, as you can tell by the way I am dressed I was not prepared to be jumping and climbing all over big boulders! There were a few times I had to hike up my skirt up and accidently flash my pink panties (but at least they matched my top)!

This is Michelle, Chatrin and me at the Flying Scotsman's (my pub of choice), we got free drinks on our last night there! Everyone was so nice there, if it wasn't for the Scotsman's we would have never met any real Swedish people. Since we worked on the academic side of the hospital everyone was gone for summer break and most Swedes get 4 weeks or more vacation time, so Michelle and I found ourselves alone in the office building most of the time.

This is the final product. I know you all are wondering, "Why did she get a flaming skull?" Well, with all the frustration that the experience created this was kind of the way I was feeling inside. I think Marko did an excellent job, he said I look like a biker chick now. Now I have to get a bike to match my tattoo or hook up with one of the Hell's Angels!

This is Marko, he is giving me my "Swedish Souvenir"! I told him to make me scream but that involved a little more than a tattoo. Don't worry nothing x-rated happened but I did want to ride his Harley (that's not a metaphor for anything, he actually had a Harley Davidson). I got this two days before we left and I am very happy with it (like it matters since it is there forever).
